Walt skim an unknown text so that we can QUICKLY get an understanding of it. I can decide if a book has useful information I need or whether I want to read it for pleasure.

You need to look at the title and go to the contents page and go to the number of the chapter you have chosen... and that's how we have been learning to skim.
This is some one skimming just for an example inc-ace you don't get what skimming is.

Well done Maiya for correctly outlining what we need to do when you skim. Next time you might like to use bullet points to make a list of the things we need to do when you skim.
